I had a 26GB TSV file. R choked. So I turned to UNIX. And it worked.
1/
You only need 500 columns.
But the file is 26GB.
R freezes. Memory bleeds.
You need the data—but you don’t need the pain.
Here’s what I did.

I NEED to tell you the story of Tae Heung “William” Kim.

He's a graduate student at Texas A&M where he's working on a vaccine for Lyme disease.

He's a *legal permanent resident* of the United States.

And he's been in ICE detention for 12 days & counting, transferred Tuesday to South Texas.

It’s been hectic driving 20 teens around town—but incredibly fun. Bill Alsaker and I started this camp in 2016, and every year I'm inspired by their imagination and the projects they do in a matter of hours. I feel hopeful about our future when interacting with bright, young minds.

It's interesting that most of them complained that ChatGPT was not "listening." I was in awe that the code ran at all with prompts like "Give me code for a shooter game." They took AI for granted and expected perfection!
