Thank you Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde for your inspirational act of quiet bravery.

America desperately needs a million people like Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, but there seem to be precious few prepared to stand up and speak truth to power. So we will have to amplify the message of kindness and compassion ourselves.
This should be on billboards all around the country.

Every accusation is a confession.
Trump got the questions ahead of time from Fox. Exactly what he always accuses Democrats of. What a surprise. www.cnn.com/2025/01/08/m...

Trump's inauguration must be delayed until two-thirds of Congress vote to remove the disability, invoked by Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, that currently bars him from holding office.

Can someone please tell me when the Congressional vote is scheduled?

I keep imaging a venn diagram depicting those people philosophically leaning towards EVs as a concept and those people who abhor the person Musk has become. Almost total overlap.

Hey, we in Australia will also take your best and brightest.
Astounding view from European pharma and tech:

they’re anticipating being able to hire more Americans, with an American brain drain. Now that educated people are not wanted in the U.S.

93 regional television stations in Australia are at risk of being bought by a rightwing startup. One chance to stop a Fox News disaster in Australia, but where are the progressive billionaires who could lodge a counter-offer?

I’m beginning to suspect Elon Musk offered House Republicans an early Beta test of Neurolink - and they all accepted.
I thought things with House Republicans couldn’t get more ridiculous, but here we are.

Should have been pretty bloody obvious really.
There's a reason democracies don't let people who tried coups back into power.

So how much of the 'savings' that Musk will extract by decimating government agencies will go into funding his demonstrably futile Mars fantasy?

A good call. More companies will come to realise the brand reputation damage that comes from association with Twitter's toxicity.

Wasn't the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, led by Congressman James Comer, looking into this? Oh wait...
1. Jared Kushner is involved in one of the most brazen and corrupt influence-peddling schemes in history.

He calls it a private equity fund.

But dig a little deeper, and it looks more like he is selling his influence with his father-in-law to foreign governments for billions.
