Hey new followers! However you found me, glad you’re here. I post a lot about my work researching networked incitement (check out our project linked in the reply), but also about rap, sports, Star Trek, 19th century Russian literature that I’m reading, and general shitposting.

Good reporting on the South Shore raid from South Side weekly here.

Confirms one thing I was told but didn't put in my own piece because I didn't have a second source and it seemed too insane: border agents segregated arrested residents by race

Federal Agents Storm South Shore Building, Detaining Families and Children
Families were woken by flashbangs and helicopters as hundreds of federal agents raided their homes. Days later, neighbors are still searching for the missing.

For context: When a group of protestors stormed the US Capitol on Jan. 6, a crew of Oath Keepers was standing by, waiting for Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act so they could go get their stash of weapons, hidden across the Potomac.

This is far from normal.

When can the president invoke the Insurrection Act? What does invoking it allow the military to do? Is it the same as declaring martial law? A Brennan Center explainer has the answers. bit.ly/3GsFBhL
The Insurrection Act Explained
The law, which lets the president deploy the military domestically and use it for civilian law enforcement, is dangerously vague and in urgent need of reform.

More, from this same QAnoner’s channel (note: they’re blaming companies, not Trump or tariffs, but there is “dissatisfaction” to say the least)
A Telegram post from a QAnon conspiracy theorist and some replies: “Groceries Check in...
How much are your groceries on a weekly basis?
Drop your state and costs.
MD here... and wow.. just went grocery shopping and we're close to $350
every week.”

“Expensive. Too expensive....”

“Dose that include baby food and products?”

“About $75 a week but l'm a Homesteader so”

“Too much.
We dont import food. Why are prices still soo high?”

“Omaha Nebraska just for me and two cats average is $180 a week” More replies:

“North Carolina, 2 people, 2 cats, and one dog about 400 per week”

“Michigan probably 500 a week but we are all organic nothing processed”

“Family of four, N. Florida, $400-450/week.”

“two person household is still about $200+ per week
i don't feel like these companies are ever going to lower the prices”

“My husband and I are both retired.were blessed if we can spend 300.00 a month”

“$300 / wk or $1200 / mo here in Idaho” More replies:

“Family of two in Texas about $150 per week”

“About $300. And I'm SICK OF IT!!”

“In Los Angeles California, everything is expensive”

“Are they keeping them high to spite Trump? Are they "adding" in any tariff costs? I don't get it.”

“Just me and 1 child, so about $75/week. In PA. I shop the discount stores though.”

“To damn expensive”

“At least 300$ a wk for just two of us. Indiana. BUT, we purchase organic produce and local meat, dairy.”

Once again, I will note this claim from Ken is completely untrue and does not comport with causality or the forward motion of linear time.

The term was developed while Biden was in office.
ZADROZNY: Yeah, for sure. You just mentioned nihilistic humor. Does that play into nihilistic violent extremism, the FBI’s terrorism classification that replaced the Biden-era focus on Jan. 6-style anti-government extremism?

KLIPPENSTEIN: Yeah, I won’t pretend not to be proud that I was first to report on this. It’s the Trump administration’s designation.

My Macedonian friend would just buy a small-ish cup of Danone smetana and house it. Apparently this was a normal snack in Eastern/Central Europe and the Balkans? Or maybe he just wanted me to think it was. It was delicious, and should be socially acceptable everywhere

Lime Jello and cottage cheese is delicious. Do other people find that weird, or is it normie white people food?

The all-knowing bsky mods gave Erin Biba a 24 hour suspension for a months-old skeet about Christian Zionism, and I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that this happened when she’s been vocally criticizing Jay
