A Perfect Tjen!

You know what's "Good for the Game"?

Janice Tjen.

Because now, Indonesia, a nation of 283 million people, is getting more invested in tennis than they have been in decades!

Janice Tjen defeats Kimberly Birrell, 6-4, 6-3 to capture her 1st WTA title in Chennai.

Tjen Takes Off

The meteoric rise of Janice Tjen continues in Chennai.

With one WTA final already under her belt in Sao Paolo, the former Pepperdine star puts herself one win away from another championship clash.

Tjen races past Slovakian phenom Mia Pohankova, 6-3, 6-1, to reach the semifinals.

When the moon runs high up in the sky,
Reeves and Starmer prepare to fly.
We thought they’d come to make things better,
Instead, it’s worse by every letter.
The lies they’ve told about tax raises,
Will never more be tolerated.

OK, so the poem’s crap, but you get the message.

Just watched the 2021 horror film, Last Night in Soho.
Starring Thomasin McKenzie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Matt Smith, Diana Rigg, Terrance Stamp, and Rita Tushingham, it’s ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT.
Probably the best horror film I’ve seen - intelligent, frightening, and with a superb twist.

Well, time for bed, and putting the clocks back.
The way the UK’s going at the moment, I wouldn’t be surprised to wake up in the morning and find we’ve gone back to the 1930s.

Tjen Takes the Title!

After facing match points against Lulu Sun yesterday, Janice Tjen turns right around and lifts the trophy in Jinan.

Just 16 months into her pro career, the 23yo from Indonesia battles past Anna Bondar, 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, to score her first WTA 125 title!

Five years ago today, Susie B was sitting there while Glenn Removals did all the work.
Farewell to Desford that day. You’ve been fun, but it was time to move on to pastures new.
New house was already starting to look a little like home!

When I change George’s nappy, it reminds me that politicians need changing regularly, too. And for the same reason.
