As GN's investigation exposed, at least with the 5090 Nvidia was doing what the Chinese call a "one eye closed, one eye open" wrt their customers reselling GPUs to Chinese buyers. I could be wrong, but I assume the temptation to do the same with GB200s would be even greater.

I disagree. 1) They are selling a shitton of GPUs to China despite the ban, as demonstrated by the Gamers Nexus youtube channel, and 2) if they can't sell to China and are not selling to anyone else, they're still lying about not being able to keep up with demand.
