Part of the plan. Trump is allowed to do stupid sht (see ballroom) to burn attention and energy while other sht gets less focus

And I give one detailed example of how the con worked; the Tomahawk missile BS. The Trump administration went to great lengths for a while to pretend there was a chance that Trump would send Ukraine these missiles--AND THERE WAS NO CHANCE AT ALL. It was a sadly effective con.

Good morning Brenda! Happy Sunday #breakfastcrew! Have a blessed day & keep smiling! 😊 It’s going to get better (I hope) 😂

I could see that as an issue though the problems are more than just that. It was a good idea at the time and maybe a necessary one as the article suggests though I don't see it. Technology passed it faster than expected.

I agree, just not sure of the long term viability of the new fission. It has a good chance of staying relevant but I do not know enough about it. I am not sure how the production of fuel and disposal will be handled at scale. Not my area. I see fusion startups that have little long term prospects.

LOL where is the H2?

Except I have worked it. Car companies invested because of the reduction in parts and labor in a superior platform and were afraid of losing. EU and Asia are not slowing down. Sure, some bumps in the road getting there.

Spoken as someone who has not had to make it work.

But they are not. How do you produce H2? Cummins built a solar farm off Spain to make H2. So sure it can be done. But that is not how most is made. How do you transport it? Very difficult. Of course you could convert to NH3, that's fun and more expensive.

You are working on a belief system rather than data. Good luck with that.

It wins in the end but the path is not smooth. Hydrogen and efuels can't compete in the long run. I thought they would be interim solutions and we made some fuel cell trucks (I worked in the industry). Just not going to make it under current conditions.

Afraid you have the kool-aide issue. BEVs will be dramatically less than ICE. Probably would be except for the market protections and copper limitations. Infrastructure in the US sucks but that will get fixed with the market. It is a better and lower cost tech.
December 5, 2025 at 1:22 AM
No, hydrogen is too far behind and no infrastructure. Too dirty and too expensive. Battery tech is accelerating. Fuel cells are not good enough. Cummins has a hydrogen engine but no serious market for it.

10-20years

I am curios how nuclear shakes out. I suspect the new fission reactor go the same way. Fusion? We have been promised unlimited clean energy from fusion in the next 1-=20 years for as long as I can remember. It is likely still that long.

12% is much lower than I would have thought. Too many stupid, gullible people around

Mute would be a great idea 😀
