Marlene Dietrich in the first scene of "Morocco" (1930). I saw this movie at some point in the early 1980s, probably on German tv and probably dubbed in German. I must've been about 17.

Hm. I expected more from Deep Sea Diver, to be honest. Great songs, but their drummer is a lumberjack who lacks any real swing and subtlety.

Hanging out at the London Calling festival at Paradiso. Great gig by Jay Som. Less impressed by Spirit of the Beehive. Really looking forward to Deep Sea Diver.

The new Jay Som album - "Belong" - is like a mellow oasis of mellowness in a world that could definitely stand to be a bit more mellow. I'm liking it a lot.

Did you catch this fox-related event yesterday? It was a blink-and-you-missed-it moment, but at qualifying for the Dutch F1 grand prix a fox scooted across the race track. The animal made it out OK.

The sad thing about staying in Nîmes is that at some point you have to leave Nîmes again. I'm back home now and definitely having a sad.
