8.5/10
An interesting blend of the sort of casual rock sound, punk, country, and even some heavier influences as well, I feel like this project has a lot of good on it but is a little unfocused which took me out of the album as a unit (1/2)

Definitely the best album I've heard so far featuring the trautonium, an obscure and old synthesizer from the 1920s. It's got a rustic, soft, and haunting timbre and is the primary instrument for this instrumental project (1/2)

A melting pot of house, dance, electronic, hyperpop, festival, and some other smatterings of influences (1/?)

Angular, danceable, and pointedly less electronic than you think, this album really cooks in the first half (1/?)

Quirky pop music that playfully makes light of things as mundane as being a hard match for suitors to where tax money goes (1/2)

This project feels simple yet incredibly mysterious. A lot of the tones set on here have a dark but approachable feel (1/?)

As expected, this was a gentle and gorgeous record. I wouldn't proclaim the orchestration on this project to be "lush," but I'd say that it fills the exact amount of space it needs to to elevate the singer-songwriter bones of the songs (1/2)

In a space that reminds me of some of the canon rock sounds of the mid to late 1970s, the Tom Wait-o-sphere, and some jam and blues rock remnants, this record has a surprisingly fresh sound for something that takes from a lot of tired and easily trope-able sources 1/?

What I think Sabrina Carpenter is going for is a vintage TV atmosphere with a genre/channel hopping feel that stays cohesive, but explores small pockets of pop sub-genres (1/?)

With a fresh take on a less-is-more approach, I was surprised to hear exactly how minimalist this project was compared to the more pop oriented offerings previously (1/?)

This is such a mixed bag, with some of the more corny lines from Danny Brown in his catalog, paired with moments that his flow doesn't even match the beat, I was inclined to feel discouraged about the project (1/?)

Did I really care to hear Dijon seductively singing about the conception of a child from the perspective of telling that same child the story in detail? No, not really (1/2)

As hard as some of these songs can be to listen to if you aren't accustomed to the "off the dome" style of singing, I think there are both a lot of hilarious last second forced rhymes on here and a lot of strangely sobering realizations (1/?)

It's really just fine music. There is a singular track that I'm particularly into, but the rest happens and is pretty good! (1/?)

There's a really cohesive sound world to this record that goes beyond the stereotypical tight harmonies and lush acoustic orchestration that Fleet Foxes usually bring to the table (1/?)

Tyler takes a bigger swing here than his previous few releases with a guerrilla release on a random Friday. I admire a lot of the more zany production choices (1/?)

While brutal and crazed when it comes to the pacing and force behind the music, the vocal harmonies/parts are surprisingly complex and engaging. It's a tight punk EP that ends in an anthemic closer about how they are stinky women and I think that's kinda great (1/1)

One of *the* punk bands that come up when someone asks you for a short list of them from this era, it took me a while to appreciate their more classic rock approach to guitar parts in this group compared to some of their contemporaries (1/?)
