Dreaming up new knitwear ideas... This would be a vest with a split standing collar, featuring eyelets and probably i-cord edging... The original thought is a filet lace design, but this could also be 🧶 knitted and use provisional cast-on for lace in both directions??? Hmm

This book was phenomenal. I devoured it. It was all the medieval sapphic body horror and eldritch-terror-mistaken-for- religious-ecstasy I could have hoped for and more. I was so engulfed in this story. Fav read of the summer!

I've been in a weird creative rut/low energy period, so I have been doing a lot more reading lately. Finished the first (so good!); Started the second; almost finished the third (which I had dragged ass on for over a year til now)

I made this skyline tank top yesterday! I love it because it is lightweight and versatile enough to wear out as part of an outfit, but the real vision was to pair it with matching ruffle shorts so I can have a cute beach/lounge set

I finished a maxi dress today! Pattern is the Skyline Dress by Syd Graham. Pairs well with this color block cardi I 🧶 knit from stash yarn. Cardigan was not a pattern; made it up as I went.

Finished my birthday dress! Pattern is the Juniper dress by @tiana-herring.bsky.social - I really loved sewing this one! It's a great pattern and felt refreshing to sew something that felt like fat people were in mind from the jump lol. This is gonna be in my heavy rotation for sure!

Adventures in sewing: I cut out all my pattern pieces, and then realized as I was marking notches that I accidentally cut another front piece on the fold instead of cutting a back piece. Normally this would be something I would roll with, but there is a collar on the dress...

It's very satisfying to me that all of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe end up being things I have made. It's doubly satisfying to make things that can be layered and worn together multiple ways over different seasons.

Finally well enough to share some photos of my finished blouse design! This is the first knitting pattern 🧶 I have created entirely by myself from measurements. I hope to make a few more samples and eventually make this a graded pattern. Designing and knitting the sample took about a month.

Spending my time while bedridden trying to catch up on as much reading as possible. Finished A Dowry in Blood by S.T Gibson yesterday, and I've picked back up with The Darkest Part of the Forest by Holly Black.

I saw someone say every crafter has "a little helper who doesn't help" so I made an album of Fashion Boy Ozzy being a diligent helper lol. He does this when I am knitting 🧶 too, but loves fabric and laying under fabric the most.

Visited a local yarn shop today while waiting for the wash cycle at the laundromat- it was right down the street. I am happy to have what I need to knit 🧶 the second sleeve of my Raglan and picked up some extra for socks and slippers. (Featuring Ozzy, our resident fashion boy)

Finished one sleeve! Played yarn chicken while knitting the picot bind-off and I won. 🧶 Gotta wait til I get more black yarn to do the second sleeve
