#OTD in 1936, Federico García Lorca was assassinated by Spanish fascists during the Civil War. He was one of the greatest Spanish poets of the 20th cent and one the most commemorated figures in the Spanish street map, with 1154 streets. France and Italy also have more than 100 streets honoring him.

RESULT 1: People have more knowledge about the figure commemorated in their streets.

We ask respondents if they know the professions of each figure in the sample of streets. This heatmap shows that figures are much better known by people living on streets honoring them:
