Nicest beer I've had from Welbeck Abbey in some time!

Who remembers Roman poets more than they remember these two?

Anyone who's come across Christian Nationalists on Twitter will be able to see that the below tweet is blatantly false.

One major thing that defines Christian Nationalists is wildly partisan extreme right wing politics.

Should be a statement of the obvious. But by 'eck this needs shouting from the rooftops!

"It's true but it won't cut any ice with voters" is a political mindset that's absolutely guaranteed to deliver disaster and decline.

As can be seen from British politics in the last 10 years.

I don't agree with this at all.

Conservatism was a thing long before Adam Smith wrote "The Wealth of Nations".

The daft thing is, Britain's national hissyfit hasn't gone away. It's been kept alive by idiots in SW1 and strange men in balaclavas who go round putting cheap flags off Temu on lampposts.

The Victorians would have treated such nonsense with the contempt it deserves.

The lesson we need to learn as a nation is that having a national hissyfit never ends well.

It's always going to result in bad policies such as leaving the EU that do more harm than good. #brexithasfailed #rejoinEU

Men need role models they can relate to, and more often than not that's going to be other men.

The question is, how to showcase the best of men instead of those who'll lead you down this path....

This won't end up going badly for either Gullis or Reform at all now will it?

Not only do I agree with the below post, I think that when we progressives lose sight of our cultural and religious heritage, we lose sight of what it is we're supposed to be working towards.

The dome at Murderhell Shopping Centre does look quite pretty at this time of year. Even if it's something you generally ignore on your way to and from work every day. #Sheffield

Britain needs more tourism, not less.

I'm not convinced that this won't be used to introduce tourist taxes in places that don't get the influx of tourists needed to make these levies worthwhile.

The tradition they seem to be harking back to is 17th / 18th century Toryism. That's certainly where they seem to get their disdain for Liberalism from.
November 16, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Can politicians please give the cringeworthy AI nonsense a swerve? All it does is make you look like an even bigger dingleberry.

Which is quite something in the case of Mayor Oliver Coppard! 🤣

I'm not sure I can agree with @thatginamiller.bsky.social on this one.

It's probably for the best that the First Lord of the Treasury has been leading the way for working from home since 1732!

When I was growing up, rock was the music of youth and rebellion.

In 2025 it's the soundtrack to grab-a-granny nights!
