When a wild animal tolerates me photographing them living their life, I feel honored. When I share this abiding love of the natural world with you, I hope we can move our society toward preserving a livable climate and sufficient habitats for them.
Oh they will feel any move toward fair taxing, you will know by all the squealing on every news channel they own.

We can expect a domestic crackdown unlike anything we've seen so far in this administration under the new excuse of presidential war powers. Personally, I suspect that a way to suspend all federal elections is the primary driver toward war with Venezuela. 2 of 3

There are certainly other drivers of this push toward war but he really cares about this one. I dearly hope I am being overly paranoid, but there is rarely a line of basic decency I've seen that this administration will not happily stomp across in their relentless pursuit of power and riches.

Had any Democratic President repeatedly called war criminal Putin "the Boss" how many media heads would have exploded in endless outrage? I'm not seeing all that much notice of Trump's latest "Winning" whipped dog, that appears to have achieved nothing. We can safely predict Zelenskyy bashing.

I think it is quite wonderful that Trump is slavering so hard and foolishly for a Nobel peace prize. But to get one he needs to actually deserve the credit he redundantly and so often baselessly claims to deserve. Trump's clear complicity with Netanyahu's ongoing Gaza genocide is a demerit.

If you love free access to the West, the Big, Small Minded, Repulsive Bill as proposed in the Senate wants to auction away our ownership of 250,000,000 acres of the land you love. Don't be distracted by all the news foolishness. Fight this grotesque bill! www.rollingstone.com/politics/pol...

Since January 60,000 tons of food that could feed 3.5 million starving people - $98,000,000 worth of direly needed food aid is mouldering in 4 warehouses around the world. Some of the food is about to expire in July and will likely be converted over to animal feed.

A peer reviewed study estimated that 100,000 adults and over 200,000 kids are dying or will die as a direct result of food and medicine distribution disruptions from Trump/Musks DOG-E cuts to just this one vital program.
June 8, 2025 at 7:31 PM
This administration and much of the Republican Party demonized the entire program for a few comparatively infinitesimal grants regarding gays and condoms to combat aids while completely mistaking the bloody continent since it was going to an African province

A monstrous lack of empathy and abject idiocy are both epidemic in the governance of this country.

May the mildly entertaining Trump Musk bitch slapping escalate to a full Monty Pythonesque fish slapping contest.

Can't say I care which one ends up in the water.

Both, would be the ideal outcome.

I want to read a report about the current President’s mental decline by a journalist brave enough to speak out now.

First they came for the tattooed immigrants,
Then they fired competent government workers,
Then they came for the legal immigrants
Then they came for the lawyers, and most backed down
Then they came for the media, and most settled
Then they came for the Colleges, and most capitulated

Then they came for the Judges,
And we protested and protested
And we had a General Strike defending democracy
And they backed down
Or we backed down
And they came for us

Only solidarity of the people can save us.

"Idiocracy" was sadly prescient, too many mistook spectacle for strength, hate for fairness and wealth for wisdom. In this one horrid dimension of cutting grant funding, the Trump administration has significantly exceeded my craterously low expectations.

I hope the much broader damage being done by financial wrecking balls to our scientific/educational, hell our entire federal supported infrastructure will not become permanent. Loss of personnel and their vast expertise. I expected this administration would be far more monstrous than his last.

The USA was the only country to vote against declaring an International Day of Hope. Let this remarkably unimportant and largely symbolic bit of abject idiocy sink in. Our bloody fools thought a declared day of hope was too close to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. #ProDecency #DEI #Trump #Equity

Their war on science ramps up.
We need some accountability here. Who are the administrators within the NSF who did this and under what instructions?

I believe federal FOIA regulations would applied to general communications leading up to this action if not to individual personnel decisions.
