seeing posts on historians needing to do physical archival research and how AI can’t discover what’s not already there. again, feature not bug. AI is another step on the path already taken by republican states defunding academic programs that investigate what is left out and/or covered up.

It's been clear for some time that US politicians seem to be mercenary (more ruthless than "opportunists" or "careerists") - not only with revolving door corporatism, but look at how many of these people actually go work as lobbyists for foreign powers - usually despotic governments.
