MOTHER DARLING (GREY GARDENS in space)

A documentarian follows the daily lives of an exiled Imperial leader & her son aboard a decrepit space station.

He starts to sympathize with them despite his politics—but then a disastrous party exposes their true colours.

11–13. Maranta, holiday cactus, jade plant. All teeny tiny and I got the holiday cactus on 60% off so it came to a dollar and change

my mom found me this calla lily kit at the thrift and neither of us could make out at a glance whether the rhizome was viable. I put a little water over the rhizome and I think it liked it, so I potted it and put it in the window. let’s see if it grows 🌱

the light from the tv and the lamp are playing oddly together. I like it idk

actually he perked up in a cool 75 minutes, here he is with a pot full of water
a small poinsettia in a black nursery pot, itself standing in a handmade ceramic blue-and-gray totoro pot, with its bracts recently trimmed off. Only dark green leaves remain on the plant but it looks generally healthy and perky, its leaves ready to receive sunlight.

in my new effort to become a plant person, I have rescued a 4” cuetlaxochitl from the hardware store for two bucks. I gave him a wee haircut to get rid of some dead growth yesterday and have placed him in a nice sunny spot. hoping I can nurse him back to health 🥲
