1. Converting to Judaism so ehh this is awkward
2. As a former Christian and chorister a secular Advent and Christmas period feels hollow and weird
3. I have so many negative memories associated with Christmas
4. Any largely food-oriented festival is really tricky when you’ve had an eating disorder

I think part of the problem is the Puritans called everything fun and/or Catholic pagan and they have had an outsized impact on anglo culture

Everything is made up on a long enough timeline

Literally the only one I can think of is replacing child actors in TV and movies to reduce exploitation of real children but that’s also just going to lead to more scenes you can’t do with real children for a variety of reasons so idk if it’s worth it
