Kids rarely get sets for thousand euros. I saw an official and two independent store exclusively for Lego (big city). The independent stores seem to target people doing artistic and creative stuff. I just read a bit into it. There are many people outside Lego who earn their money with it.

The second part is also very important to build fantasy and dexterity, especially the basic blocks. Sadly it also leads to many orphans...

The Odyssey was one of my favourite booka as a little child. Not in ancient Greek, though. 🤣 It was in an easy language and had very good illustrations. Later we got a record of it, which was pretty worn out after a while. 😁
