A law that says "You have the right to an abortion" is far simpler to tack on a million provisos, conditions and regulations to, than there just being no law saying anything, which renders it not a legal question at all, and then trying to make laws about it.

The other thing of course, which is the case in Canada where rights groups oppose a law respecting abortion in Canada, is that when you make legislation, it is also dramatically easier to add regulations and amendments to that legislation than it is to create new legislation entirely.

They announced they were moving a bunch of people out, all the liberals went "yay we won!" and stopped paying attention to the fact that they did not, in fact, actually move a bunch of people out.

The third largest source of Republican votes in the last election were from California. I don't think there's such a thing as "a blue state" to balkanize.

I don't think you realize that this last election ended as ideally for Harris as it possibly could have. They fundraised a billion dollars, don't actually have to run the country, and can use Trump's actions to fundraise more.

The Supreme Court ruled that the DNC was entirely allowed to interfere in primary results as they did over Sanders/Clinton so again, where is the actual pressure?

Simultaneously claiming to believe that trans people are too few to have their needs valued, and too many to just ignore and leave alone. It's 100% fascist logic. A willingness to sacrifice trans people for a 5% tax cut for people making ten times more than they do, thinking that's better for them.

There's a few posts of mine that pick up a random like months after they were posted. I usually assume it's from somebody looking at the feed of somebody else who was inactive since then.

This is basically my experience with smut too. I've still never read any smut or erotica that was even close to "too explicit/graphic" for me.
