The public will realize that most politicians railing against elites actually are elites in every sense that matters and start to hold them accountable." P. NEW: Without USAID funding to help buy food for refugees, the World Food Program rushed to prioritize families based on need, determining that only half the population would get food.

Refugees learned which half they were in from a number stamped on the back of their ration card.
After Trump Officials Cut Food Aid to Kenya, Children Starved to Death
“Brutal and traumatizing”: Interviews and a trove of internal documents show government officials and aid workers desperately tried to warn Trump advisers about impending disaster and death.

The FAA approved another launch before the last crash investigation was completed — and it ended in another disaster.

Why is SpaceX getting a free pass from DOGE cuts? 🤔

Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too.
The Nazis think this was a Nazi salute, but, hey, what would they know?

Zuckerberg: "We're going to move content moderation to Texas, a hotbed of white supremacy, LGBTQ hatred, anti-abortion zealotry, and all-around right-wing kookiness, because it will ensure a more even-handed tone. Kidding. It's so Trump won't break up the company."

I was disappointed when Bezos pressured the @washingtonpost.com to not endorse Kamala Harris, but kept my subscription. To censor Ann Telnaes @anntelnaes.bsky.social forcing her to resign tells me that I can't have confidence in the ability of the newspaper to report on the incoming administration.
