@sammypetersen.bsky.social hey, is there somewhere streaming I can buy Lady O'Loughlin? I want to see it! (Late to the party.)

This is what was in the bag my mom sent home with me. Yes, those rubber tips are used, yes that is corn chowder in a bag.

82 year old mom also said that she was going to go move all these pieces of furniture into my car so there weren't unnecessary trips across the completely iced over driveway...... Except her?!

My mom asked me what I wanted for lunch about 2 hours and disappeared about an hour ago and hasn't been seen since and now it's 3.15 and like, nothing, mom.

My parents are looking for a phone number they wrote on a newspaper. They have two copies of the same paper (same day) and it's not on the one they can find. I found an insert, with a phone number on it, but that's also the wrong newspaper with a phone number on it.

@thisisalexei.bsky.social How does one overcome their embarrassment of their favorite genre of film being adventure?

My uncle has a fairly well appointed home from when my aunt was alive and decorating. But then he has these paper shades with clips literally stapled to the sash.

Got my dying uncle's house and my mom promptly stepped on his foot. (It was under a blanket, but jeez.)

My dad finally said it was warm enough to turn on the AC and Mom was bummed because she had just taken off her sweatshirt.

This was completely perplexing to me, then my mom explained that Jack Benny never had another birthday after 39. He was just always 39 until he died at age 80. Even before he died, was Jack Benny ever a fresh, identifiable reference?

My parents live on a dirt road and there is more traffic in the summer from the tourists. My mom commented on the huge number of cars that passed us. And then added, "plus the dump is open, that always makes a big difference."

I join on this unbelievableness- this sandwich was $14 and includes one (1) slice of roast beef.

The boys went down to the restaurant to order since they didn't answer the phone. UNBELIEVABLY the restaurant was closed!!!!!
August 16, 2025 at 7:06 PM
Dad calling the restaurant bc Mom just ate a sandwich and didn't want anything.
Mom: let me look at the menu.
Dad, while the phone at the restaurant is ringing: wait, what? What do you want?
*Restaurant didn't pick up*
*5 minutes later*
Dad: Did you pick?
*Mom on a completely different website*
...

Dad: I couldn't believe how many people there were at the farm and the traffic was unreal for that time of day!
Dad 90 seconds later: I can't believe this place is too busy to pick up the phone. Especially for this time of day.
Me: you just said that you couldn't believe how busy it was...

It is 85°F in here and my mom has on long pants, a T-shirt, long sleeve button down, and a hoodie.
August 16, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Mom: Know what that old timey smell was?
Dad: what
Mom: Two avocados
Dad: Moldy?
Mom: whew!
Dad: Moldy?
Mom: *walks away*

In 2022, after years of violations, the FDA imposed its toughest penalty on global drugmaker Sun Pharma: banning one of its factories from shipping drugs to the U.S.

But the agency undercut its own decision by quickly exempting more than a dozen drugs from the ban.
A Giant Indian Drugmaker Failed to Fix Safety Breaches. The FDA Let It Off the Hook Again and Again.
Documents obtained by ProPublica offer a rare glimpse into discussions between the global drugmaker Sun Pharma and the FDA, exposing how the agency tolerated substandard manufacturing for years.
