This is the 60 Minutes report about the Trump criminal regime torturing innocent people at CECOT. Cowardly or complicit CBS boss Bari Weiss tried to hide it. The first letter of the network's name is now silent. It's now just BS.

60 Minutes suppressed report on CECOT torture facility
Please share this widely. People must know what crimes against humanity are being committed by the U.S. regime.

Tonight is the Third Annual Bat Show Pop-Up and Alternative Tentacles Holiday Party at 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco from 5-10 PM. This is an exhibition of artworks inspired by Winston Smith's legendary (in the punk scene) AT bat logo. My #painting is titled "Midnight."

I was able to get out to San Diego's desert to catch two nights of the Geminid meteor shower in Borrego Springs, an International Dark Sky Community.

I watched as many queen butterflies worked the flowers on this alkali goldenbush and were joined by what I believe to be a Boll's potter wasp. The Mojave and Colorado Deserts Biosphere Region is filled with life if one looks. 🦋

I bring Epidendrum conopseum indoors to fill the house with its nocturnal, honey-scented perfume when it's in bloom. This species #orchid is the northernmost-growing epiphytic orchid in the U.S.. I've kept two of the Florida form happy for years, but lost the Mexican one.

I planted California fuchsia (Epilobium canum) all over the yard for #hummingbirds like this female Anna's (Calypte anna). Pictured is the tall, 'Catalina' cultivar with bluish leaves. This native plant species is an important summer and fall food source for said birds. 🪶

Allen's hummingbirds like this guy have more or less uninvited the less skittish Anna's from the garden. I have to be very still and patient to photograph them visiting the plants, in this case a cardinal flower (Lobelia cardinalis) I grew just for them.

My Angraecum Conundrum (didieri x viguieri) is perfuming the night. I'm growing this miniature #orchid under LEDs in an old aquarium with a fan mounted inside of it. I took it outdoors to shoot it while enjoying the moonrise.

Owls make frequent appearances in my paintings and photography. Pretty easy things we can do to help these charismatic raptors out are not use rodenticides that travel through the food web and give driving our full attention while behind the wheel.

LeConte’s thrashers, native to arid desert habitats of the southwestern U.S. and northwestern Mexico, have lost nearly 70% of their U.S. population over the past 50 years.

Today we petitioned to protect them under the Endangered Species Act. Learn more: biodiv.us/4lZtfku

I walked through the Comic-Con #Art show yesterday morning to see everyone else's work and noticed the print of this painting had sold. It's inspired by one of my Catalina Island fox encounters in Two Harbors.

The San Diego Comic-Con #Art Show in Grand Hall CD at the Manchester Hyatt will be open to visitors tomorrow at 11AM. You don't need a badge to walk through and appreciate the artists' efforts. My work looks much better in person.✨

I combined two moments from the same night to create one #painting I'm hanging in the Comic-Con #Art Show tomorrow. One was a pair of barn owls checking out the box installed for them and the other a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch. The Sun had long set, so the rocket plume wasn't bright.

I planted a bunch of Dudleya pulverulenta for my #hummingbird friends and they're currently fighting over the flowers. The Allen's aren't sharing these with the Anna's so far this year. This San Diego native #succulent species also helps with slope stabilization.

The Heritage Foundation's Project 2025 called for dismantling the NOAA, which provides warnings of natural disasters, such as the deadly floods in Texas. The irony is that Heritage wanted these cuts because it’s angry that NOAA helps prove the reality of climate change--the thing causing floods.

I often bring a firefly-inspired #painting to the Comic-Con #Art Show which is coming up and it usually goes home with someone else. Watching them twinkle is something I miss about living in the Midwest. Typically I make it back in the summer and get to appreciate them.

This Paphiopedilum philippinense joined my #orchid collection in 2018 and is currently in bloom again. I love it and am grateful Mickey's Orchids in Florida let me talk her into sharing a division when I was in town even though it wasn't officially for sale.

Here's Calopogon tuberosus in the garden this evening. This #orchid species has a large range in the eastern and southern regions of the States and Canada. I'm growing it in a bog soil blend in a pan of distilled water with lots of sunshine.

Neobathiea grandidierana came home with me from New World #Orchids a couple of summers ago and I finally bloomed it. This miniature #angraecoid has a uric night-fragrance to my nose; you can see the stench beads in its nectary. It's native to Madagascar and Comoros.
