Last week the full LA City Council voted to study eliminating parking requirements citywide. The vote was 11 in favor, 3 against (Councilmembers Lee, McOsker, & Padilla opposed).

Parking update thread: Last week on 9/16, the full L.A. City Council approved Blumenfield/Raman motion for city departments to study & report back on eliminating parking requirements (not eliminating parking, but allowing new developments to decide how much to include)

Yesterday, the Los Angeles City Council Planning and Land Use Management (PLUM) Committee approved a motion that could lay the foundation for ending harmful parking requirements for new development. @streetsblogla.bsky.social has the story.
