I asked AI why my electric bill was going up, and apparently there are a lot of factors. It could be seasonal changes to vampire loads in my house. Anything, really. Difficult to pin down to any specific thing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't understand why AI people keep insisting, "if we can't steal your work, our industry will die" as if this were a compelling argument.

Remember when the RIAA forced the industry to adopt SCMS copy protection on the digital I/O of DAT machines because they were absolutely terrified someone might make a digital copy of a CD? Do you remember when everyone was trading DAT tapes of pirated music? Yeah, me neither.

This is a Tascam 688 8-track. I did not own one of these, but I lived with someone who did. I used it every chance I could. It sounded terrible. I loved it.

The two places I commute to the most (school&gym) have some portion of the route on a cycle track (I'm not sure brattle qualifies, but there are concrete barriers) and at this time of the year in boston, the commute is really relaxing.
