A huge group of people are in a giant hole in the middle of a rolling field. There is a large sign with an arrow pointing to the hole that says "HOLE." Suddenly the group's attention turns to a new hole, complete with a giant sign with an arrow pointing to it that says "NEW HOLE." One person points to the new hole and says "hey look! Someone made a new hole!" The mass clamours out of the old hole and makes a bee-line toward the new hole. It's chaos. One person, now situated in the new hole says "this feels like how the old hole used to feel." Another person nods in agreement.

Honestly hate having a 'product', but a guy's gotta eat. That's why I want to keep the rules as basic as possible - just credit and don't resell my stuff. Make and sell anything you want with 'em!

Just FYI I have updated the wording on one licensing rule on my assets based on feedback from @kenney.nl. It's the same rule, it should just worded more clearly that you can sell a product made with the help of my textures, just please don't sell the textures themselves as a product. Legalese... 🙃

I was trying to be clear about reselling them as asset packs, you can absolutely use them in sold, commercial games. I will work on making that clearer.

That is what I mean, you can use them in your game, just not resell them as it's own texture package. If anyone has a suggestion how I could make that more clear please tell me.

I very briefly used the first model Dall-E to fuck around when it was first becoming a thing, I get the initial fascination, but as I've come to even a basic understand of the technology, I've completely, and very easily, washed my hands of it. I've never touched ChatGPT or MidJourney or whatever.

Wait what, damn. I have episode 3 sitting on my drive for a rainy day. It was always a bizarre mod by Doom 3 standards but it was absurdly high quality and personal, so that's a real kick in the crotch.

A cool theme. I'd try and go all in on intricate ornamental and water motifs and get away from more rigid square shapes.

I try to be a happy-go-lucky kinda guy these days but seeing people feverishly try to defend the use of AI in art and modding communities specifically because they're "here to stay" pushes my fuckin' buttons. Have a backbone.

I need to test myself and try some vastly different themes in future packs, I think. I like working with palettes, but I'm also pretty tired of Quake's at the moment, so something much different there too...

When I write a book on video games I'm gonna title it "The worst fucking book imaginable" and it'll just be paragraph after paragraph of me telling you play Gamera 2000. It will be riddled with spelling errors and feature poorly clipped images of Gamera and myself having a nice time.

No way, this just unearthed an ancient bloody memory. I played this at my grandad's house way back. The guards were all MSPainted over with striped Collingwood jerseys and the chaingun just had you rapid-fire punting footies.
