The oversell of what AI can actually do as a tool is also making the process worse. Big requests that don't have an adequate timeline are papered over with 'explore with AI', except the tools don't actually do what you think they do, so it's just you abandoned by the AI-heads doing the work alone.

I then spend the next 30-40 hours churning because I present work that has considered the brief, thought about the audience, the goal we're trying to achieve, but it doesn't look pixel-for-pixel like the first thing they imprinted on. Their feedback becomes forever compromised.

i have never heard this man deliver a crumb of creative direction on any call, on any project, at any point in time...dead silence every time. his value add is apparently playing on banned genAI sites all day and annoying everyone???? sounds like a dream job if you're a complete hack

I love mine an unhealthy amount, it makes the best coffee of my life, but the dissonance is real...I don't microwave anything plastic, but will I pour 212 degree water into this plastic tube twice a day and drink what comes out? Emphatically yes
