At lower levels the old relationships may still be functioning despite this, but the policymakers in what used to be the West’s leader are deeply and immovably hostile to Europe (and to traditional US foreign policy values).

It reminds me of a comedian some years ago who did an "old movies be like" skit but all of the gags were impressions of SNL impressions of old time stars and you could tell they had never seen an old movie themselves, so the skit flopped hard.

Not that Bluesky is perfect, but the bubble complainers were generally just annoyed that either their horrible friends weren't getting the white glove treatment... or *they* weren't being sufficiently revered here.

They never complain about actual issues here.
