The 🇬🇧 NHS is so large that it kept 🇺🇸 drug prices low due to the quantity bought.

Now the 🇬🇧 is weaker it is forced into a bad agreement with the 🇺🇸 that has wanted to raise drug prices to the 🇬🇧 for decades.

It's pretty clear that Scotland’s got everything it needs to thrive - we just need the powers to do it. Independence and rejoining the EU would give us the fresh start Scotland needs.

A new Scot Gov publication describing why we need it, and it could achieve 👇

A Fresh Start with Independence
This paper sets out why Scotland should become an independent country, and what an independent Scotland could look like. It provides details of this Scottish Government’s proposals for an independent ...

Hopefully this has helped.
I am being very blunt to find a way through the fog. 🙃

There is a blockage with the English wanting their own rules instead of working within the current rules for the benefit of everyone.

If taken to the logical conclusion this will break the single market and EU.

He wants closer alignment but *on his terms only*.

The Tories wanted closer alignment on their terms.

Labour want closer alignment on their terms.

You and he want closer alignment on your terms.

It is now year ten, meanwhile small companies can’t export.

How many more years/decades do you need?

He wants closer alignment but on his terms only.

Thus, he would like EU treaties changed in order to accomodate what he would like.

Instead of:
Wanting closer alignment while respecting the rules.

It can be seen as picky but wanting access without commitment is why the UK is here and stuck.

This direction of travel comparing the Conservatives and the economy with the Greens and nature is stark.
Well done Danica.

I've never needed a flag for my English, British & european identity because I don't have an identity crisis.

However, it appears the English do have an identity crisis.

Instead of progressive patriotism based on values we have English nationalism based on Englishness, used to cause division.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
Sorry Lina.

I actually find the Green leader patriotic because he is inclusive.

Whereas this flag stuff I find really false and a bit odd and I’m English.

It is actually depressing. 🙁

I am blocking you.
You are a destructive exceptionalist.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
I learnt about sovereignty vs access in 1991, one year before the single market want live.

From 1999 to 2022 I exported to the EU until people like you wanted more sovereignty and restricted access.

It is now 2025.

After screwing our economy and bankrupting SMEs you still refuse to listen.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
You are exactly the same as Nigel Farage.

Fuck off
stuartbudd.bsky.social
What the hell are you on about?

Cost of Brexit and leaving the Single Market & Customs Union for farmers and SMEs.

This reduces growth and raises prices for *everything*.

Example, £855 of beef
Before Brexit: £545
With Brexit: £1,130

When am I and other companies going to be able to export the the EU?

You can spend your time on whatever fantasy you wish but business want an answer to this question.

Now.

People want the economy fixed and lower food prices.

When will you remove these charges?

You are stuck on the word sovereign.
No state is truly sovereign, even the US is dependent on bond markets.

The EU restricts monetary powers via treaty.
The TCA has restrictions for a level playing field.

The sovereignty vs access argument is why UK SMEs are now bankrupt.

Thanks
This is useful because I haven't voted in Scotland before.

I have a question please.

What should I do for Glasgow Kelvin & Maryhill?
Tempted to go Green 1 & 2 to get more Greens.
As is a strait fight between the SNP and Greens.

Is this acceptable?

Hello @gillianmacmsp.bsky.social

This is for Glasgow Kelvin and Maryhill from Nowcast here:
www.nowcast.uk/holyrood/map

@scottishgreens.org are within 1.4% of taking the Holyrood seat for the Greens at 1st preference from the SNP.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
You are refusing to listen.

The UK government does not have full monetary powers now under the TCA.

In your exceptionalism you are wanting a better agreement than the English Brexiters.

This is insane!
stuartbudd.bsky.social
Brexit supporters like you, Farage and Corbyn lost the argument before 2016 when you refused to listen to experts and prefered to destroy the economy and businesses.

You need to apologise to me for what you have done.

These are the extra charges you chose to force on us.

A larger issue is forcing bankruptcy on businesses.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
Oh, we have the wrong sort of Brexit.

The one in your head worked just fine.

FFS!

We are here because people like you didn’t listen to people like me who was taught all this in the 1990s and then exported to the EU.

You still aren’t listening.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
No matter about bankrupting people or hounding our neighbours out of the UK, there are small and very specific rules within the stability and growth pact that are suitable for every other political party in the EU that everyone is fine with…apart from you.

Utter, crazy madness.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
This is a similar conversation to what I was having with Corbyn / Farage supporters in 2016 and is scary!

It is now 2025, my company has been ruined, the economy ruined and friends hounded out of the UK. 🤬

You need to decide if you are Farage or not.
stuartbudd.bsky.social
This is as scary as hell.

What do you mean by “economic constraints of the EU”?

Explain.
