The accompanying macroeconomic framework document does mention moving to the Scottish Pound, but not in any detail about the process or timescales.

Tbh it seems to be mostly waffle about how the UK currently works. More on futures required imho.

It might seem glib - but when you are looking at those candidate leaflets for next year's Parliamentary elections, think about how many of those candidates would have the backbone of Governor Pritzker in his defence of his community.

It's quite a recent phenomenon. A couple of months ago Plaid were kneck and kneck for 1st. With the "issues" around Reform's Welsh leader recently it'll be interesting to see if it drops back.

Last year Labour's accounting unit in Scotland only received the equivalent of about 1,000 member's subscriptions, according to its declaration to the Electoral Commission.

That's about 14 per Scottish Parliament constituency.

Good job they get vast amounts of support from Labour in England.

Anas Sarwar was confronted at a Labour event by a Labour party member who was *furious* at Labour's plans to open up the NHS to the private sector. Of course the BBC in Scotland refused to pick up this story.

Labour likes to criticise our Scottish Government for NHS Scotland performance. But it could be a lot worse - try living in England, where Labour controls the NHS.

If broadcasting matters, why are Scotland’s broadcasters not based in Scotland?

Scotland doesn’t have its own public broadcaster. The BBC is based in England and regulated from Westminster. Virtually all commercial broadcasters are owned by companies based outside Scotland. So?

It's pretty clear that Scotland’s got everything it needs to thrive - we just need the powers to do it. Independence and rejoining the EU would give us the fresh start Scotland needs.

The thing is: lots of these “achievements” haven’t actually happened yet. They’re just announcements. And another set are either continuations of longstanding Tory policy (fuel duty freeze), or else quite stodgy macroeconomic stuff

Labour likes to say it’s a comms problem. It’s a substance problem.
