I waited tables in a couple of restaurants and I can say with confidence that from now on the Supreme Court justices who eviscerated abortion rights, gay rights and student debt relief should probably not think too hard about how their meals were handled on the way to their table.

Bluesky is an experiment in what happens if instead of a company making editorial decisions about algorithms & content moderation, users could choose their own adventure.
The problem is users have expectations and explaining they’re lab rats in an experiment is an unsatisfactory answer.

I think what’s challenging with the Bluesky team is that dev, dev rel, community relations, product ownership roles are all held in the same handful of people. And they thought they were building a federation platform when what they’re being asked for are site features.
