My take, which I’ve banged on about before, concerning the state of young people reading these days is that reading is a rhythm. It’s like a mix of slow breathing and being pleasurably bored. We need to bring back spaces and times where our young people can breath and think and get lost in a world.

The guy who created the Choose Your Own Adventure books released an 11 page booklet on nine things he's learned in 90 years.

I found it surprisingly sweet and worthy of contemplation. (Although I was slightly disappointed with the lack of branching paths.)

Metaphors of violence/war in political discourse are lazy & don't reflect the collaboration required in a democracy.

- "Fighting" for constituents
- Campaign "war chests" and "war rooms"
- Political "battles grounds"
- "War on " policies
