16. For 2026, it is your job and mine to be kind. To help others. That’s the one thing we’re all here to do, and the thing that most makes life worth it.

So let’s fucking go, team.

I'm in the process of writing the final essay in my Twin Peaks series & it feels bittersweet that it's happening in the final days of the year that David Lynch passed away. The tone of this series changed in January. Each piece since then has been an outpouring of my love for him & his art.

Absolutely; it was such a good book, and I'm so happy for your success with it Willow, since if anyone deserves it, it's you.
I want to thank everyone who took the time to read CORPSES, FOOLS AND MONSTERS this year. It was a labor of love for Caden and I to bring the subject of transness in cinema into the light. For trans readers in particular, I hope it gave you a healthier relationship with film & with our history. 💙

SHUTTER ISLAND (Martin Scorsese, 2010)

I don't think it's worthwhile to look for realism or answers in the scripted logic of SI, because the emotional truth keeps returning. It's about running into the shadows to get away from what you've seen & felt before. It's a Val Lewton technique.

If the Baileys were real, at this point they’d be going to marches, whistling at ICE and bringing up “the means of distribution” during Thanksgiving.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis

For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare

We will keep fighting
