I don't know if you've read Jane Hamsher's book Killer Instinct but it gives a bit of insight into Don Murphy and his habit of sending hoax faxes, which led to Moore falling out with Hollywood after LXG. Worth reading if you haven't

I think Moore said they should have cast Coltrane in the lead, and truly it's almost impossible for the movie to have less of a cultural footprint so Victorian-era Cracker might have been the way to go

I always liked the bit in Network where they're making a reality tv show about the Ecumenical Liberation Army, so I'm glad someone decided to make a thriller with a lot of stoner comedy about them instead and call it One Battle After Another
