In about 1990, I bought a relatively early NICAM TV and VCR, cost me about £900 (in 1990 money!). It was a revelation for the time.

The book is far better than the film IMO, I don't think King was keen on the film.

Worked really well for the time. IIRC it only had about 12 bit resolution
