Longwood Gardens has found a way to keep Christmas trees safe from your cats. Not only does it need to be hung from the ceiling, but the base of the tree should be a minimum of 8 feet from the ground.

Am I the only one thinking of this Doomsday Fish story from last month as we wait to hear if a #tsunami will hit California after the morning #earthquake ?
The elusive deep-water oarfish – considered to be a harbinger of bad news – was spotted yet again on the shores of Encinitas, California. It was the state’s third spotting of the species in the last three months, and only the 22nd over the past century.
The ‘doomsday fish’ returns to California shores for the second time this year. Scientists don’t know why. | CNN
Considered to be the origin of the sea serpent tale, giant oarfish are a species yet to be largely researched by scientists.
