Thanks, Lilbitwytchie. I’m hoping that I can have some minor influence from within. Why can’t we be like Europe where PR is the norm?

This is some of what Labour has done in the last 19 months. What I want is a calm, ordered government that works for the country. Divisive, antagonistic, confrontational politics is harmful. I wish we had PR so all voices were heard.

Workers’ rights strengthened, min wage up, interest rates cut, boosted economic growth, 2 child cap gone, more breakfast clubs, child poverty task force, huge inc in deportation with no legal right to remain. Record funding NHS, massive inc in doctor recruitment, waiting lists down.

It’s a shame you’re antagonistic, Lilbitwytchie, as we probably have a lot in common. My own values are much more to the left of the current government. Labour have only been in power for 1/3 of the last 100 years so they need to prove themselves and convince the voters.

This is why I’ve never joined a party before, although I nearly made an exception for Caroline Lucas. Being realistic, you’re never going to find a party that fully aligns with all your values and sometimes the areas that don’t Venn are very hard to swallow.

I’m not an MP, nor am I accountable for all Labour’s policies. Your post is ridiculous. I joined as a measure of support for Starmer who is (like it or not) probably the current best hope of fending of a chaotic change of PM, destabilisation of the country and the enabling of Reform.

Thanks so much, Laurette - I appreciate it 😊💐.

No one in their right mind supports the atrocities committed against the Palestinians, Dee. The govt is working with the Europeans and the US but I wish it would happen far, far quicker.

Thanks, Stephen, much appreciated. I just want calm, reasonable politics which I realise doesn’t suit the right wing press, or other foreign bad-actors. I’m impressed with how much Starmer’s government has achieved so far, even if there are areas I wish were pushed to the forefront.

YouGov has a poll out saying 82% think the media is untrustworthy. As you're a believer in polls don't you think this poll might be something you and your fellow journalists should reflect on and maybe read the replies to your post. They're mostly very critical of the media.

Stupidly, I pressed the ‘delete’ app about midnight, in fury and Musk anger. I didn’t act with your calm foresight but then impulsivity is in my nature.

Chest “ measurement after my meeting with Zack, Dee. It’s just what BlueSky offered. I’ll change it to something entrancing just for you.

No idea what a ‘sock’ account is, or where all your hostility is coming from, Dee. It can’t be good for you. Be nice to a newbie to BlueSky, chill out and have some cake.

That doesn’t even make sense, Dee. Regards, Sue (Clue’s in my user name).
