Was it only last week Carney was with Xi in China? Doing business, sorting deals, you know the things Leaders do for their country.

Somehow Starmer isn’t supposed to do that. Yet China is the second largest economy in the world.

The media in the UK are truly barmy.

Matt Forde talking to Keir Starmer well worth a listen, especially for those that say Keir is boring and has no personality. This might just change your mind.
Listen to Starmer’s welcome on this show. (surprise Guest). If you’ve time listen to the whole thing. Starmer is so far from boring it’s untrue!!!

Andrew Griffith at #PMQs (for Badenoch) misleads Parliament, saying it now costs employers £3,600(/yr) extra to employ a 21yr old.
The actual figure (minimum wage) is
£1,600, or less for small businesses with Employer Allowance.
Its just a 10.5% rise.
Or they could employ 18yr olds for even less!

Despite months of doom-mongering from right-wing pundits and Farage's shills, predicting the pound would fall through the floor, the exact opposite has happened. The scare stories have aged like milk.

The Green Party has claimed figures from a projection show “only the Greens can stop Reform” in Gorton and Denton.

This is misleading. The model cited suggests Reform and the Greens will increase vote share the most, but currently projects a Labour win.

Thank you @mrjamesob.bsky.social for reading out that list of achievements Labour have introduced or are working on delivering.

It might have been 30 or so items long, but it was a short list.

You could make a list to fill a whole hour of your show if you included everything. There is so much.

Tell me again how this BBC editorialising is just my cognitive bias... This isn't a quote from anywhere. It's just the BBC's description of this disgraced, divisive politician.

This is so worth a listen, he doesn't shy away from difficult questions, his reason for not wanting Burnham to ditch the Mayor role is compelling. He has a great sense of humour and is very engaging, this is what the media don't want you to discover about him.

Cost of living cost of living cost of living.
1) Gov is not responsible for food prices, supermarkets are.
2) Gov is not responsible for rents, private landlords are.
3) Gov is not responsible for wages, only setting minimum wage.
4)Gov is not responsible for brexit, Tories/Farage are.

Phew, I was a bit worried for a while but glad to report the Guardian has found another study to use to bash Labour. You'll be surprised to know the article is far more nuanced, the decline started with Covid, but hey, who cares another day another Labour bashing, job done.

The Guardian giving Burnham a platform to continue whining today, talk about flogging a dead horse.
January 27, 2026 at 2:27 PM
I'm awarding Gold Medals to everyone jumping through hoops pretending Burnham has been hard done by, the people of Gorton and Denton left bereft and pretending it's perfectly reasonable to walk away from the role of Mayor 19 months into a 4 year term. Just call it what it is fgs, opportunism.

We promised in our manifesto to “tackle unregulated and unaffordable ground rent charges”.

We’re honouring that commitment today by legislating to cap ground rents at £250 per year, changing to peppercorn after 40 years.

Around 50 it says in the article.. that’s about 375 who didn’t !!!! Maybe that headline would better reflect the truth about Labour.. the vast majority of Labour MPs are rightly backing the decision and getting on with the job of working for their constituents and the working people of this country
