this show goes deep into how investing all one's time + attention to income can create a situation that isn't secure or sustainable, and highlighted that, esp with the main character being the recently divorced (rich, white, mainstream) guy

not that it's good for 'women' / 'the wife,' either.

there was a thread of "men get so fucked during divorce" through the whole show. while mostly my take is, you made your bed, I have also seen queer friends get really screwed in their divorces in recent years
