It's all theatrics, right? He ordered the DOJ and FBI to investigate democrats' ties with Epstein just a couple of days ago. Now apparently DOJ can withhold documents under "active investigation" protections with the freedom of information act exemptions, regardless of congressional demands

Opening or reopening an investigation immediately reduces the government's ability to release records, because agencies can withhold them under "active investigation" protections (FOIA Exemption 7(A), privacy restrictions, and investigative-sensitivity rules).
