It is WILD to me how fast people drive on this road. I so wish GDOT would care a bit more to find ways to slow traffic down. I’ll drive the speed limit here and still feel like I am flying and yet I am STILL passed. Now just imagine someone walking on the sidewalk. Not friendly at all

100% agree with you. Just yesterday I was trying to get to this intersection. At the same time, I’ve also taken a cycle through this area and it’s horrible and I would love it to be improved so I could bike down memorial a little bit easier.

If I would’ve paid attention to the arrows. Yeah I would agree that they are trying to find a way to not slow down drivers on Moreland. As this intersection area gets insanely backed up due to the two lights. Maybe one can hope for future calming measures on Moreland to slow drivers.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh. That makes SOOO much more sense. I was so confused when I read about this change by gdot and even said, “thank god I don’t have to deal with that every day.” Now I see that why it got moved back, hmmm still not in love with the “u turn” but we are getting hawk!

What is weird for me is that we move the cross walk back. If I read it correctly, there will be a hawk signal there for crossing. But that seems very close to the stop lights already there. Will this cause confusion or annoyance to drivers and they will ignore the hawk signal??

Unfortunately- when people see “oh I’ll pay less taxes!” All battles are lost. 😞 yet they will most likely be the first to complain Tha APS is closing most schools and our students are falling behind.

Opinion about the bike lanes on Ponce: I like the lanes - not my favorite, but what makes me not want to bike on this road is the drivers. They are not paying attention when making turns. Have almost been hit the most on this road.
