Boebert is quoted as saying Peters pardon could help prevent the president from relocating the space headquarters, the person said. Please be stronger in your assertion that you will not release her, even with such a tempting prize.

That's useful information that hadn't occurred to me. But we also anticipate self-driving vehicles someday soon and I'm guessing that quarterly calibration and monitoring must take place to ensure that those vehicles are properly maintained? I think we might figure out IIDs for operating a vehicle.

The only update I can find is that they determined the cause "wasn't human'. That doesn't reassure me much, given that a lot of those MAGA folk are teetering on the brink of being human.

I wrote my two senators and my representative (Colorado). Any thoughts on what else I can do to protest? This is my personal information they don't need and can't protect.

I have already written my representatives in Congress stating that I VEHEMENTLY oppose my personal information from voting to be released to the DOJ. Illegal, unnecessary, and a huge security risk for me.

Yep, I checked out the author as well. Why is he being published anywhere when there are better writers with better logic?

Mine too.

The funny thing about a site casting out bait for hate-clicks is that they might get my click, but fifteen seconds after I get there, I resolve once again not to subscribe.

It'd be nice to support Adam Serwer, but not at the cost of contributing to garbage like that.

Well said!

I'm in favor of the concept of preventing drunk people from driving. This would seem to be a simple fix, but I'm no engineer!

It seems that just last year, when I subscribed, I was reading and learning from more articles than today. What changed?

Someone very close to me had to have that installed after a DUI. I was not only grateful, but curious why we don't just equip all autos with that automatically (even if it raises the price a bit) just like seat belts. Would save a lot of grief.

How is this legal?

And I'm happy to read different points of view, but the fact that the Atlantic printed this buffoonish take on things makes me less concerned about my recent cancellation of my subscription.

I actually read all the way through this article thinking the author was employing satire or sarcasm.

Nope, there are grounds for instant termination - theft, showing up drunk or stoned, and hurling racist comments at customers or other employees. The things that justify counseling and probation are things like showing up late a few times, failing to greet customers in a friendly manner (cont)

Wouldn't you just love to saw that beam in half?

From what I know of AI, it may not be accurate and it likely won't be secure.

No one is going to sit there and read my social media history. But they might capture the information to use against me in some fashion, although think about the time spent capturing it and probably not securely. Who in their right mind would visit the U.S.?

Yep, done with Disney. Never going to the parks again, and not likely to see a movie generated by a computer. Fahgettaboutit!!!

Oh, you better believe my son and I have discussed this...

No recollection of Walker or what he was nominated for... fishing for some knowledge to grab onto....

He'd better hope that nothing happens to the people he has openly threatened.

If they had continued to support him despite their reelection concerns, I'd be worried that they knew something about the mid-terms I didn't know. I think Indiana will continue to be red, per the voters, but trying to please their constituents, instead of DJT. I have no problem with that.
December 11, 2025 at 10:41 PM
That's OK - I can't think of many politicians for whom re-election isn't central. I'm still happy that they are beginning to realize that DJT is not going to deliver elections.
