Trump Is Proving the Wacky Lefties Right
No blood for oil? Abolish ICE? What used to be far-left ideas are now just sensible responses to this administration.

What's beyond "blatant"?

Be sure to have a look at the Semafor story. Yeah, I know, but it's worth to see just how clearly the regime is saying, "So who's going to stop us?"
This is *extraordinary*. Trump is already seeking to stash his plunder in offshore havens beyond the reach of American law *while still president*!
Seizure ... by whom? If we're asserting that the money is safer in Qatar than the US, that suggests that it is being protected because Qatar has something the US lacks — presumably a lack of accountability to American courts and Congress. www.semafor.com/article/01/1...

It's dangerous, but I am really glad to see some regular people jumping in, not allowing the Gestapo thug to go off.

Don't tell me The Algorithm doesn't have a sense of humor. How else to explain these two posts, from @tomlevenson.bsky.social and @depthsofwikipedia.bsky.social, appearing consecutively?

Sorry, yeah, Scott Adams again. But that great old phrase from Alice, that all of us said for years, just popped into my mind.

Given current circumstances, can't imagine why.

Absolute banger of a thread
Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

I appreciate where your heart is, but your head? Maybe not so much.

As others will have let you know, this seems useless b/c of the danger aspect.

I would like you to start with something smaller: just the mask prohibition.

Unless you're proposing both as a negotiating strategy, I suppose.
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.

Cool!

And don't miss Leganto's comment underneath. (It's just a two-post thread.)
Have you ever watched something disappear while it is still there?

Fix your eyes on a point, and stationary images in your peripheral vision may fade after a few seconds. This illusion, called Troxler’s fading, was first described in 1804 by Swiss physician Ignaz Paul Vital Troxler. 🧵⬇️ (1/2)

A little bit of dish

I was wondering why I haven't seen Pam Bondi on the TV (i.e., @atrupar.com's clips) lately. Could it be that she has fallen out of favor with Dear Leader?

A good explainer from @mmasnick.bsky.social.

Really sad. I don't know what we can do to fight back against this kind of problem. Everyone here of course will say "get off X" but that's not going to fix the problem of Elno filling up MAGAt heads with lies.

@pfrazee.com In case you didn't already know, looks like there's a problem with Search not showing recent stuff again.

Also, prob related: if I look at my timeline, and click Replies, the earliest shown is from several weeks ago.
