The idea that AI is actually a sentient construct that can legitimately help you with its advice and not an LLM that's just designed to pair words together in a predictive way has destroyed people's lives, and the people who keep spreading that notion should face severe consequences for doing so.
I have three hearings at three different courthouses today. At the second, someone was sobbing outside the courtroom. They'd asked ChatGPT what to say in Court. They believed what it told them.
They lost because it hallucinated, and they didn't know there were no do-overs.
