Trying to do things to put me in the Christmas spirit as I’m not there yet. 🙁 Going to try & make mini mince pies for the 1st time ever (w/ the mincemeat from scratch). Bought Christmas At River Cottage as it looks so lovely & one can never have enough recipe ideas. Might make Eggnog tomorrow night.

We played Sequence (love that game!) on a new-to-me giant board game mat (because we are old now & can’t see 😂) & watched an episode of OG FANTASY ISLAND (um, the acting was *so bad*). As a kid sometimes I was allowed to stay up & watch after THE LOVE BOAT so I see I did not miss that much! 😛

This is SO LOVELY. Isn’t it amazing the things teachers say that stay with us? My grade 4 teacher tried to change my cursive writing (she wanted it BIG). My grade 10 teacher said my writing is mine & what makes me unique. 🥹 She died way too young.

Yes, the seeds were taken out so when we squeezed the lemon juice over the veal chop, no seeds to contend with! What a nice touch, eh? Thank you, Kathie - it was a very good birthday dinner! We hardly dine out anymore so it was nice. 🥹
