Jeez! That makes things more difficult. Do you know if there’s anything in place, or is being discussed by the league pertaining to what has to be disclosed when trading a player… à la, the NCAA? As in, do GM’s have to admit knowledge that a player will be going the NCAA route the following season?

…if Schmidt actually stays in Seattle next season. Or if any of the players stick around. With the uncertainty of NCAA defections, it’s like GM’s are juggling with grenades, no?

So much to process here, but I like it. This team was headed nowhere despite the talent on the ice. Was never a fan of Schmidt and I had an inkling that he may have had a chip on his shoulder. More of a ‘me first mentality.’
