RE this thread: In my early years in the U.S. I was learning how to drive (driving in Manila is way different) & was afraid of potentially getting pulled over. "What if they deport me?" I used to joke. @jasonkotenko.bsky.social would laugh and say it'd never happen coz I was a legal citizen. 1/2
