Translators, illustrators, researchers and editors all do creative, human work that is important and cannot be reproduced in part or in whole by AI any more than writers. Their interests are our interests. To legitimize the use of AI to replace them is a failure of principle as much as strategy.

Do people not realize the entire premise of gen AI is being anti-consent & violating people's boundaries & privacy? The concept of fake girlfriends into noncon in media is nothing new; the technology using REAL people's likeness from photos & videos & artists is the real actual problem here.

We need to have a serious talk about the way "AI companion" apps not only prey on the vulnerable, but are priming their users to ignore consent and to conflate love with control.

People are addicted to competition and stress and angst and having favourites and being able to make comparisons to make themselves feel superior in their choices. This isn't normal. This dedication helps kpop companies to fence you in and get money from you but serves no purpose elsewhere.
