Also, the cast/crew has since largely expressed fondness for the film and their experience shooting it. There was indeed intoxication—but only *after* the day's shoot and on weekends!

I love the 1990s Mario movie so much! Say what you want about canon, but The dinosaur evolution concept was genius, the characters delivered their lines amazingly, and the production lore is a trip!

Will watch again right after the mario galaxy movie to cleanse the cringe off me, as i did last time

I just watched the retrospective documentary on the 1993 Super Mario Bros film. Absolutely fascinating and well worth a watch.

It seems like everything was going great until 10 days before the start of shooting, the studio supplied a new revised script.

None of the scripts or production materials give an exact age difference, though the writers did initially envision someone younger like Bruno Kirby in the role.

When Hoskins agreed, rewrites were done to better convey the age difference, but for the most part, little changed.
