31: Hollow Knight
Outside of Celeste, this is one of my greatest accomplishments to beat. Hard yet rich, everything flows well into everything else, it never feels like there isn’t a chance though, and that I appreciate the most. Great experience, it’ll be awhile before Silksong though.

I came away from it, finding it to be one of the most human and beautiful games I ever played. It’s hard to describe why this game works, except that it does and you won’t ever be the same. The game ends with this message, which I think is at the heart what this is a story about. My personal GOTY.

Easily my fave of the Starkid musicals, each song is a jam and Jafar is incredibly compelling as a character. I was thinking I was done with this series but a friend’s recommendation made this a necessity. I’m glad to end Starkid on such a high note.

The season decides to focus directly on John and Arthur,isolating them from anything else but the two. The Dreamlands are fantastic as a setpiece and the final moments of the season are some of the best overall. This is definitely where it clicked to me why my oomf loved this show.
