Can everyone just shut the fuck up about AI?

Positive or negative; applauding, criticizing, apostatizing, whatever - I just don't want to hear about it anymore.

Damn.

JJ Abrams definitely has moments of pure hackery as a director but I'll be damned if you can't admit Star Trek (2009) is an absolute banger from the very first scene. It completely re-invented what ST was but kept the ethoes despite the plethora of action scenes.

On brand.
"My conduct defied everything that I believe about marriage." Evangelical author Philip Yancey said he had an extramarital affair and is stepping down from public ministry. New from me: www.nytimes.com/2026/01/07/u...

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.

You should have to be licensed to access social media, not unlike being a ham radio operator.

A critical thinking test, an empathy test and a spelling test as prerequisites, pls.

So Buddy the Elf can't make toys at the North Pole at super speed but can make and throw snowballs like he's a human minigun in Central Park?

The entire internal logic of Elf is in shambles - I can't take it seriously!

It's not a foolproof plan but every political debate from now on should be a Normal Guy competition. Ask them to describe grocery shopping in detail. Talk about what it's like to have a friend

Leavitt is spinning so fucking hard she's basically a helicopter rotor at this point.
Reporter: What did the president mean when he called the reporter piggy?

Leavitt: I think the president being frank and open and honest to your faces rather than hiding behind your backs is a lot more respectful than what you saw in the last administration

I still think about Blade Runner 2049, that movie was absolutely spectacular & died a completely undeserved death at the box office. One of the greatest cases of audience malfeasance in mainstream movie history.

You can't complain about getting served the same slop if that's what you show up for.
