In this season of gratitude, may we hold our loved ones close and keep in our hearts those who cannot be with theirs. Let’s continue building a more supportive and connected region together.

We can act now by diverting wastewater away from the river and expanding local air-quality monitoring. But lasting solutions will require strong binational cooperation, stronger oversight, and upstream infrastructure that stops pollution at the source.

I had the privilege of meeting these emerging leaders to hear their youth-led solutions firsthand and discuss how my office and the County can help turn their ideas into action.
