I don’t understand why the left is so ineffective. But i think it has something to do with “right leaning” dems.
Some of us have been saying this since 2020 and even before: Dems should make corruption *the* central issue in US politics and public life and go on the offensive against GOP/MAGA/Trump transparent and hypocritical corruption and grifting. Most voters hate corruption.

As someone on the verge of being homeless in CA, my partner and I rent a studio apt, not modern or luxury. Until 2019, we were using a stove from the 50s. Our rent is $1550 down from $1900 when we got new owners. STUDIO apts at the neighboring bldgs start at $1800-$2300.
It’s almost as if skyrocketing homelessness isn’t caused by addiction or mental illness, but by millions of people being rent-gouged out of a place to live.
